Is it just me or is the Superbowl become over rated? There were news stories about commercials being rejected and toned down. Since when was commercials ever considered newsworthy?
The commercials this year were okay. I was entertained my teh mustang spot and recurring theme of MC Hammer. (when I saw him the second time I was trying to figure out how they were going to incorporate Lays Potato chips) And the Diet Pepsi truck with that rap guy is noteworthy (even if I don't remember who the celebrity rapper was).
Anyway, They are just commercials.
On a side note, There was a commercial filmed in my hometown. I believe it was supposed to air during the superbowl, but I didn't see it. I understand it was a coke commercial. It takes place in a diner in the midwest. One of the catch phrases is supposed to be:
Customer: "This is best bacon I have ever tasted. Do you grow your own cows, too?"
Waitress: "Bacon come from pigs not cows"
What this has to do with Coke I have no clue. But I guess it is supposed to be funny. We'll just have to wait and see if this makes in to your TV or on the cutting room floor.
