After, one month, no, two months, wait... three months... Actually, I lost count. There has finally been some substancial news concerning the new business.
And for anyone who has been paying attention, you guys will not be suprised that it does come with its own drama. I would love to give you all the blow by blow details, but that is not what is important. However, here is a basic rundown of what has happened.
My pervious post I mentioned that my least favorite person left for vacation after four weeks plus of doing nothing. Appearently, his assistant came down with cold feet and we have no idea as to where she ran off too. In fact, things looked so bad for us that we were convinced that we lost everything that we were working on. Then out of the blue we get a phone call concerning the location we wanted. The gentleman (yes, I have a much greater respect for this guy than the other guy) had a conversation with our real estate agent. He was on the nevious side (I think he heard what had happened to us and it was his job to be the sacraficial lamb and attempt to do some damage control).
Needless to say, we are back on track, after the previous guy tried to run us through the mud. Optimistically, this is going to be a done deal. Realistically, we still have to go through negotiations and ultimaltely sign the lease. And that can take up to 45 days. At least now we are getting the respect and attention we deserve. I can't wait to start designing again and work in my own place.
