It all started a couple years ago. A bunch of friends were coming home from a concert. Joking and laughing all the way home. Unbeknownst to us a suggestion and a fake scotish accent would launch a tradition.
Whenever time permitted, well after the sun is down and none of us wanted to go home just yet, someone would suggest a "Ferry Run." It was almost always followed by a fake scotish accent proclaiming, "Ack, let's go see those wee fairies run!" And off we go.
Then we would start our trek out to the middle of no where in search of ferries. Usually, we would stop along the way to admire nothing really, or water the plants. Once in a while, we had the priviledge of bringing along someone who has never encountered a ferry before. Amazingly, they always thought it was an experience to be remembered.
In the end, it was just an excuse to avoid going home. However, it always seemed more than that.
